Design Narrative
Avenir Next is a sans-serif typeface created by Adrien Frutiger in 1968. This well-known and versatile font was created to compete with the geometric Futura. Both names are derived from the word future and meant a modern font with many available weights to fit any project needs.

The designer decided that in order to promote such adaptable typeface, she would create a unique branding inspired by the 20s trend of vintage future, that is, the idea people had of what the future would look like in the 1920s. The designer chose a modern, flat aesthetic with a very limited yet engaging color palette to showcase the font and let it be the main character of this narrative.
