Design Challenge
Develop a tablet app in the edutainment category, that is, educational and entertainment for children and pre-adolescents.
Target Audience
This app was created for an often neglected age range, between 7–13 years old.
Design Narrative
Symphonic is a music theory Edutainment App created for older kids and pre-teens alike. This is a very neglected audience when it comes to design, and they offer a good market for new products. The bright colors, slab serif fonts, and engaging illustrations will keep users focused while also learning and creating better habits. Symphonic, then, is an app that also features synchronous online lessons, and other products such as plushies and instrument tuners to help build brand loyalty. This project won a 2021 Silver ADDY Award in the category Online/Interactive App.
