OVERVIEW
Champion Mentality was a 9-SKU product line created for the 2025 Olympia competition, spanning pre-workout powders, pre-workout RTDs, non-stim pump formulas, and protein powder. The line was built around a performance mindset: never giving up, showing up every day, and staying committed to progress even when no one is watching.
Inspired by the legacy of 6x Mr. Olympia winner Chris Bumstead, the system avoided relying on an overt athlete feature. Instead, the creative used a silhouette and reflective gold label treatment to shift the focus back to the consumer, encouraging them to see themselves in the mindset of a champion.
THE CHALLENGE
The line needed to feel distinct from core RAW and CBUM products while still feeling connected to the larger brand ecosystem. It also had to work across multiple product types, including powders, RTDs, pump formulas, and protein, each with different label structures, hierarchy needs, and production considerations.
The challenge was to create a premium and motivational visual system that could carry the emotional weight of “Champion Mentality” without becoming too literal or overly dependent on athlete imagery.

- Directed the core creative concept behind the reflective gold system
- Developed the “why” behind the gold label treatment as both medal-inspired and mirror-like
- Designed labels across all 9 SKUs in the Champion Mentality line
- Created packaging systems for powders, RTDs, pump formulas, and protein powder
- Designed GNC cards and supporting retail signage
- Balanced campaign storytelling, product hierarchy, flavor communication, and compliance needs
- Helped translate the concept across packaging, ads, signage, labels, and launch assets


DESIGN APPROACH
The visual direction centered on gold as both a symbol of achievement and a reflective surface. The label treatment was designed to feel like a medal, but also like a mirror, reinforcing the idea that the person using the product is actively becoming better through consistency, discipline, and effort.
Rather than making the line solely about Chris Bumstead, the silhouette created a more aspirational and open-ended visual. It allowed the consumer to project themselves into the story while still connecting to the champion mindset that inspired the line. The system used bold contrast, premium metallic cues, and disciplined hierarchy to make the products feel elevated, intense, and unified across multiple formats.
OUTCOME
The final system created a distinct product family for the 2025 Olympia, spanning 9 SKUs across powders, RTDs, pump formulas, and protein. The work extended beyond labels into GNC cards, supporting signage, ads, and launch visuals, creating a cohesive campaign presence across physical and digital touchpoints.
Champion Mentality became a strong example of packaging as storytelling: a product line built not only around performance, but around the mindset and daily discipline behind becoming better.
